During the Logos-Duo concerttour to the Japanese Shikoku-Island and to Shanghai (P.R. of China), all of the sudden I got the inspiration for the short composition "ShSh". The work is a melting of elements from the Chinese and Japanese traditions. This is true for both the sober live instrumental part and the soundscapes. Japanese are the large 'kei-su' bowl gong and the insects, recorded at Miyoshi-gun. Chinese the three tiny bowl gongs and the monks, recorded at the Shanghai Jing'an temple.

In the beginning there are instruments and insects. The japanese car takes the chinese monks away, but the insects and the instruments stay, although transformed.

De korte kompositie "ShSh" kwam tot stand naar aanleiding van de Logos-Duo koncertreis naar o.a. het Shikoku-eiland (Japan) en Shanghai (P.R.China). Het werk brengt een samensmelting van elementen uit de Japanse en Chinese traditie en dit zowel wat de sobere instrumentale partij, als wat de klankschappen op tape betreft. Japans zijn de grote klankschaal en de insekten, opgenomen in Miyoshi-gun. Chinees de drie kleine klankschalen en de monniken, opgenomen in de Jing'an tempel van Shanghai.

In het begin zijn er instrumenten en insekten. Een Japanse auto neemt de Chinese monniken mee, maar insekten en instrumenten blijven, doch getransformeerd.
